Getting out of Town

When you live on an Island you limit your means of escape! Not being a good swimmer, I tend to fly! Having worked for an airline for awhile I do tend to feel some alligance to that same airline but will gladly fly with another if the deal is a fair bit better. Living in New Zealand the choice is limited anyway but what i have found is it can be cheaper to buy a ticket to Australia and then buy a ticket form there to the rest of the world. If you do try and make it the same carrier (airline) then ring them up and get them to combine the itinary which they will likely do. This should have some advantges if you get delayed the clerks can see you forward travel and reschedule flights for you.
