Travels To Sydlee, Air New Zealand be aware

Ahhhh how nice to be back home had a great time catching up with James (son)and his partner Vicki.I didnt check any luggage on the outbound journey so saved myself $20 and I didnt want a meal so all up saved $50. On the way back I thought I would be over the limit so I went on the day of travel to upgrade my fair ,You cant you can only upgrade previous to the day of travel. So headed off to the airport. So the first person I tried to check in with "no you will need to check the bag that will be $40!!" went away to adjust my luggage Found another check in agent "Oh thats fine" after a bit of adjustment. The first check in agent was a contract worker the second worked for Air Nz food for thought?.
